P&D Group emerged as a holding entity under MKB Fonds, focused on consolidating businesses within the packaging industry. Through a strategic 'buy-and-build' approach, MKB Fonds, via P&D Group, aims to assemble a cohesive group by acquiring similar or complementary enterprises in the packaging sector. Beginning in September 2017, P&D Group, operating under MKB Fonds, embarked on a series of acquisitions to bolster its portfolio. It initiated its expansion by acquiring stakes in packaging companies Hodi Verpakkingsmaterialen and Hodi International. The momentum continued in January 2018 with the acquisition of Pacoma Europe. Subsequently, Van Vliet Trading joined the group in May 2018. Expanding its reach further, P&D Group welcomed Uniek Verpakkingen, Beta Verpakking, and Laro Tape into its fold in July 2018, September 2020, and December 2021, respectively. In March 2023, the acquisition of Jan Van Groningen marked another milestone for the group. This was followed by the addition of De Boer Vrachtbescherming in August 2023 and Mupla Verpakkingen in September 2023. Moreover, in February 2024, Holland Special Packaging also joined P&D Group, cementing P&D Group's position as a key player in the packaging industry.
