Bernhard joined MKB Fonds on February 1st, 2021, serving as an Investment Associate within the investment team. With his extensive financial expertise, Bernhard supports the investment team in analysing and evaluating investment opportunities, as well as in managing MKB Fonds' portfolio companies. After completing several successful internships during his academic years, Bernhard began his career at EY as a Junior Auditor in Brussels before transitioning to Deloitte in Amsterdam. There, he gained over 4 years of experience in the M&A Transaction Services department, specialising in financial due diligence and providing broader financial advice for M&A transactions, often involving Dutch (family) businesses led by an owner-manager. Bernhard holds a Master's degree in Economics and a Bachelor's degree in Economic Sciences with a specialisation in Banking & Finance from Ghent University, both of which he completed with honors. Additionally, Bernhard is a CFA Charterholder. As of September 2024, Bernhard has been promoted to Investment Manager.
