Bernhard Coppens has been part of the investment team at MKB Fonds since 2021 and has held the position of Investment Manager since September 2024. In this role, he is responsible for evaluating investment and divestment opportunities, leading due diligence processes, and supporting management teams of portfolio companies in value creation and strategic execution. Bernhard began his career at EY in Brussels and continued at Deloitte in Amsterdam, where he spent more than four years within the M&A Transaction Services practice. There, he specialized in financial due diligence and advisory services for mergers and acquisitions, with a particular focus on Dutch (family-owned) businesses led by an owner-manager (DGA). He obtained both his Bachelor’s degree in Economics and his Master’s degree in Economics, specializing in Banking & Finance, from Ghent University, graduating cum laude. In addition, Bernhard is a CFA Charterholder.
